The Northern Initiative is dedicated to empowering women to live their lives to the fullest without any limitations. At WJOF we believe that by facilitating healing and fostering healthy friendships, we can build a community that is grounded in hope, love, and strength. As a result, we aim to provide genuine support to communities in the North, particularly in Saskatchewan, where we can demonstrate our commitment to uplifting our communities.
At the core of the Northern Initiative is the belief that we can make a real difference in the world by working together to promote positivity, kindness, and love. The initiative recognizes the power of community and aims to create an environment where women can thrive and reach their full potential. Through its various programs and initiatives, the Northern Initiative is committed to spreading a message of hope, and love and bringing joy to those who need it the most.

Roberta Fiddler is a shining example of a woman who has overcome various challenges in her life through her unwavering faith. Her journey is a testament to the fact that women can achieve anything they set their minds to with the help of their beliefs. Through her work and dedication, she has inspired countless women to follow their own path of faith, regardless of the obstacles they may face.
Roberta Fiddler
Roberta grew up in the First Nations community of Waterhen Lake, located in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada. There were many obstacles and layers of oppression, which resulted in tremendous hurt. Deep-rooted healing needed to occur in her life after she came to Christ. She has experienced what she considers the typical life of an Indigenous person in Canada. As a second-generation residential school survivor, she experienced great difficulties in her childhood, such as abuse and neglect. Growing up in an alcoholic home, she witnessed constant domestic violence, faced poverty, struggled with low self-worth, and much more. Roberta once had a grim, hopeless view of the future, battling with the pain she carried from her past. It wasn’t until she surrendered her heart to Jesus that He began to shape her and mould her into His new creation. Now she has a new life filled with hope, restoration, and beauty. Currently, she lives an abundant life as a mother, teacher, and mentor to many. She desires to bring inner, deep-rooted healing to others by sharing her real-life experiences. God has given Roberta a revelation on how to receive healing for your inner man and protect your mind, soul, and heart from the attacks of the enemy. She desires to share her stories of victory with you through this 30-day devotional. May these truths bring healing to your mind, soul, and heart as you read these words from Roberta’s heart.
